![]() More robots keep being drawn. Each one is preparing to fill a page in my 2010 Robot Coloring book which I hope to have complete for New York Comic Con in October, 2010. Please comment and let me know your thoughts. Also, if you have any ideas for robots I will try and incorporate them. Robot Coloring Book Project 07/19/2010
![]() I've decided to start a robot coloring book project to squeeze into my limited spare time. I will post pictures often. It will be a mini sized coloring book and I hope to have a LARGE quantity of imagery for the book. Tails of the Werewhale 06/11/2010
If you're out in San Diego this year and you see the famous, Chris Gugliotti walking around. Be sure you stop him and beg him to let you buy a copy of his Werewhale book which he'll be handing out to editors for the week. Chris and Jason Snair (another talented illustrator I know) will have two stories in the book as well as a back up story written by John Burns. I'm sure it will be full of all sorts of other sketches and goodies. I will have a four page story in the book that I donated to the cause. The whole piece should be a great time. Modnation Racers 05/26/2010
![]() This week's art has been created in the digital world of the new Playstation 3 game, Modnation Racers. The tools in this game are just too much fun and the flexibility of creating is amazing. There are few spots I would like to see refined, but all in all you can create whatever you want in some form or another. Here is a small gallery of the creations I've made in the demo and just recently in the game. I especially like the Back to the Future delorean mod and the Stormtrooper Mod. The rest of the mods reflect some of my quirky cartoony style, which is a lot of fun. I've always wanted to customize vinyl dolls, but the cost is outside of my budget. Behind the scenes with The Werewhale! I'm trying my hand at digitalart with a project I am working on. Sketch to Final on New Tablet 05/10/2010
I've been working on a robot model for a friend of mine. I can now ink and color simultaneously with the new tablet PC I just purchased. It is a fun new technique that I've been look forward to trying for some time. This robot is now finished and passed along to the animator, but I thought this 'in-progress' image would be something for you fans to see. Robot Sketchcards 04/27/2010
The orders have begun and I'm ready to paint or draw you a robot. Of course, I will also sketch other characters of your choosing. Please contact me via the commissions page to request your card today. If you are not familiar with sketch cards I will take this time to explain. This is a hand painted card. Every card is different. None of these are prints, but individual pieces of artwork. Sketching with New Tablet 04/25/2010
Trying out the new tablet. I picked up a HP TM2 and have been satisfied with the purchase. Simple sketching is quick and easy and I look forward to quickly producing some comic artwork. I may use the tablet in this years 24 hour comic day. Time for some more old art! 04/25/2010
Here is an old piece I painted. Again, I'm not sure why I painted it, but here it is. I didn't like the original, so I cut out the closet, repainted it on a perfectly fitted piece of paper and taped it in the hole. Enjoy! Post Title. 04/12/2010
Back in my mixed media days of old, I experimented with a lot of colors and a lot of chemicals. I made wonderful textures until I realized how awful they were to me and the environment. I'm sure I'll still create some of this work, but my sinuses will never forgive me. Please tell me your thoughts. I left the original on here as well as the cropped version, because I believe that one of the coolest things to see on illustrations like this is the mess. |
