I've been working on a robot model for a friend of mine. I can now ink and color simultaneously with the new tablet PC I just purchased. It is a fun new technique that I've been look forward to trying for some time. This robot is now finished and passed along to the animator, but I thought this 'in-progress' image would be something for you fans to see.

The orders have begun and I'm ready to paint or draw you a robot. Of course, I will also sketch other characters of your choosing. Please contact me via the commissions page to request your card today.

If you are not familiar with sketch cards I will take this time to explain. This is a hand painted card. Every card is different. None of these are prints, but individual pieces of artwork.

Trying out the new tablet. I picked up a HP TM2 and have been satisfied with the purchase. Simple sketching is quick and easy and I look forward to quickly producing some comic artwork. I may use the tablet in this years 24 hour comic day.

I figured it would be nice of me to sprinkle in some new art during my 'OLD ART' posting that will be continuing for the next few weeks. A friend of mine has been asking me for a while to paint this robot. So, that's what I did today.

A while back I tweeted a question,"what should I draw on my new weekly blog." Curtis Lawson of Broken Soul Press asked that I draw a robot building a human. Last night, the mood struck me and here is what I came up with. Enjoy!

This week I'm working on some designs for the up and coming New England Small Press Assembly show (NESPA). I was asked to do some work on various items and one of them was to design a fun robot in a style that many of you have grown to associate with me. I'm very excited for the project and look forward to seeing the little guy plastered all over the NESPA forms and flyers.

This week I happen to have a commission. I was asked to paint an image of a robot that I had previously sold to someone. It resides in their kitchen so I was asked to bump in a  little bacon. As the piece progressed I had a little more fun incorporating egg as well as a pan dripping on to the floor. Why is he so sloppy you ask? I'm not sure, but I love the dripping pan. Being that I am designing my website right now, my first work on this blog will be my lower website image. This is a reoccurring image throughout my site. You may see it change as time goes on, but for now it is a fun grouping of some strange characters. No real rhyme or reason at the moment. Enjoy!
