Another attempt at building a Christmas gift. I created two bird houses from scrap reclaimed lumber. One for my father and one for my father in law. I figured building an interesting looking birdhouse would be easy. Turns out it was more difficult than I thought. Mainly due to the high peaked angles I chose. Unfortunately I did not take pictures of the final houses, which sported a nice slat shingled roof and a copper peak, topped off with a coat of Thompson's Water Seal that I had laying around. They both seemed to enjoy them very much. They are both bird men and enjoy watching the little critters flit about their houses. Enjoy the slide show.
