I decided I would upload a gif that was made for promoting the show so that viewers would have something fun to download and use. If there are other gifs you'd like to see us make, let us know in the comments below or contact us via social media!

So you missed the Jason May Draw Club House last night? That's okay! I've got you covered. I even added some "special edition" bit and pieces. We had a bit of an issue with our YouTube streaming last night. Maybe it was the fact that Chris has a webcam now! Look at his beautiful face by clicking below and watching this week's episode. The them was Super Villains! Thank you so much if you watched the new streaming show that I've been working on with, Chris Gugliotti. If you haven't checked it out yet, there are re-runs of the show on my YouTube Channel. Each week, Chris and I sit down and draw together and chat along with the audience. Last week's drawing theme was animals and eye-wear and this week's theme was backgrounds and scenery (thanks to Zach Shepard, our donor from last week who made the request). Below, you can watch the re-run of Episode #2 and see the images that were created during the show. You can see Episode #1 on my YouTube Channel. Please leave comments if you can and let us know what you think. Episode #3 is coming next week. You can click here to view the page and set a reminder. See you there! For those of you interested in donating to the show. Here is the link. If you donate during the show, your coins will fall from "The Pipe" on screen! The title says it all! (at least most of it) If you're interested in creating comics, you may eventually want to learn how to color them. I noticed that there are not a lot of videos on YouTube on the details of flatting, so I put together this tutorial. This particular tutorial is geared towards people who want to work in a studio style environment - where a colorist may hire a "flatter" to fill in their pages prior to them adding shading, highlights and adjusting colors. I have flatted for a number of artists and it's very important that it is done correctly. Over the years, I have also hired flatters and sometimes I received flats that ended up being more trouble than they were worth. "But, Jason, I just want to do all of my artwork on my iPad!" That is awesome. The iPad and other digital devices are amazing tools to create content on and I would never discourage you from doing so. This tutorial may not be for you. Maybe in the future I'll get an iPad and do some tutorials. Only time will tell. Right now, I'm just trying to help new comic creators get their feet wet. Be sure to leave comments to let me know what you'd like to see or if you have any questions. If you find the information useful, PLEASE hit that like button. Be well and thank you! Stay tuned for the next video in this series. Cell Shading Last night was a huge success. Somehow we managed to have over 2,000 views on Facebook shortly after we aired. While the video is no longer available on Facebook, you can watch it right here or visit my YouTube channel. Thanks everyone! See you next Wednesday! |
