Dan Stevens asked me to come down and take some photos and video of him playing at the Ridgefield Playhouse. He was opening up for Los Lonely Boys. Dan was kind enough to tell the audience how I helped him acquire his first cigar box guitar which led to him building his own, which he proudly played up on stage. Dan came down to my studio Wednesday to have the guitar electrified for the show. It turned out great and Dan rocked the socks off the audience. Here are a few pictures of Dan's performance.
Please drop by his website and visit one of his upcoming gigs. You won't be disappointed.
So I headed to Worcester, Mass to meet up with horror writer, and brother, T.J. May at the New England Horror Writers booth. From what I hear, there will be a larger presence for NEHW in the Rock and Shocks to come. You may even see me drop in to do a panel on illustrating for the twisted minds of horror. Wouldn't that be great? I also ran into quite a few celebrities.
My brother decided to prepare for Halloween by purchasing some special effects contacts and custom fit fangs. I posted a youtube video showing how difficult it was for him to install his contacts. It's pretty funny, because you can watch William Katt and Doug Bradley walk by and wash their hands. Here is a quick slideshow for you folks. I'm not sure what my next convention will be, but I'm sure I'll have some more stories for you!
I had a great time at New York this weekend. I caught up with a lot of creators I haven't seen in a while. I also met a lot of new creators and companies interested in my work.
My new Robot Coloring book did pretty well. I will check my inventory and post the book on my store asap! Look forward to hearing from more fans and creators. Thank you to everyone who supported us at Booth D-17! I'll see some of you at Rock and Shock this weekend. Please stop by the New England Horror Writers booth and say HELLO!
There are a lot of creators sitting and sweating. All of them are waiting for their books to get back from the printer for one of the biggest comic shows in America. I'm happy to announce, I will sweat no longer! My books have arrived and will be ready at out booth at New York Comic Con.
