![]() I took a trip down to 7PLY skateshop in Westerly RI yesterday to investigate long boards. We've decided that we'd like to try and build out own boards out of baltic birch veneer and press them in one of our shops. Being a graphic artist, the first thing I started thinking about was the shape and graphic of the board I will be creating. While we're looking at longboards, I am looking into my skater past as some of the illustrations used on vintage boards. Here are a few pieces that I LOVED when I was a growing little grom. I haven't skated in years. Since I don't have any freestyle skills left it is my opinion that I need to become a cruiser. I do still surf and bodyboard quite a bit, so I'd like to work on my balance. A longboard is a great way to work on my balance. I will more than likely try and sell a few boards on this site in order to cover some of the set up costs. If you start seeing me post some awesome pics of boards and you decide you might want one, please inquire via the contact page. As you can guess, I'll probably have a robot theme on my first board.
