You followed along for the month of October and saw all of the sketches I posted. Now is a great time to pick up a collection off all the works in printed form. This week I spent time laying out a nicely crafted book. The book is available for purchase on Blurb right now, where they will print the book on demand and ship it out to you. I have ordered a few copies of the book and they should be in this week. As soon as they come in I will take photos and videos and post them here as well as on my social networks.
Here is a link where you can find a preview of the book.
Now that Inktober has ended, I'm going to take some time to update my website. I will start by adding some content to the Illustration and Design Galleries. Hopefully I'll be able to fill those up easily. Please enjoy the new galleries and send feedback. Maybe you'd like to see different types of work than what I have already posted.
I will also finish uploading all the original art from Inktober this week. Please drop by and pick something up. The more I sell, the better I feel about continuing to do the work each year. Inktober, while it's a great exercise and helps me build my craft, it also takes time away from other projects and family time. Any and all support, whether monetary, verbal or social media support, is GREATLY appreciated. Sharing and likes tend to light a fire under me. I'll try and be better about posting new content on my social media sites as well as here.
Where does Robotic Madness stand?
Currently, there is no timeline for finishing my webcomic Robotic Madness. You can view the first part of the story at www.jimmycakes.com
If I start to see a significant amount of interest, I will certainly do my best to get the project rolling again. Right now I'm working on Time Traveling Team-ups for Reckless Sidekick, doing LEGO Club comic shorts and working with a few smaller clients, so setting aside the extra time to create a personal project is very difficult. I'd love to make that a full time gig, but I will have to look into the marking and money making aspect. Thank you again to all who support my art!
