Recently I created this surf inspired, handprinted and limited edition greeting card. It was first available at the Shady Lea Mill Open Studio, but now I have uploaded it to Etsy to make it available to the world. I had a great time printing this piece as well as the other works for Shady Lea. These prints were printed using lino cut blocks and two colors of water based printing inks. There were only twenty five made and each one is signed and numbered by the artist. I have also included a hand printed matching envelope with the card. If you want to make a statement about how much you care about someone or appreciate them, this is the card to give. They also look great framed on the wall. Many people showed up at Shady Lea Mill this weekend to visit me at Studio 200 where my friends, Kris and Carrie Chatterson have an amazing studio. Some people already knew me from my LEGO work, logo design work, comic work or from my help with Drift surf shop and their skate decks, hats, tshirts and more.
![]() I've been spending a lot of time on the road lately, meeting clients, working on Shady Lea and just trying to get inspired. Yesterday, after I put away all my artwork from the Shady Lea Mill Open Studio, I dropped by the local skate park. I spent about forty five minutes sketching for a client's logo when I noticed this broken skull laying in the leaves. I decided to take a few minutes to capture a few fun shots. With the sun beaming and the skate park glistening from the rain the night before, I set out with my camera and snapped a couple pictures for inspiration in my personal work. View below I would also like to take a little time to thank all of the people that dropped by to view my artwork at Shady Lea Mill last weekend. I really enjoyed talking to everyone as well as seeing my artwork find new homes. The new wave print was very popular, as were my skate decks and greeting cards. If there was something you saw at the show that isn't listed on my Etsy shop, please contact me. I'll slowly be updating Etsy over the next few weeks. This weekend, I will be back at Shady Lea Mill in North Kingston RI for their annual Open Studio. Maybe you dropped by last year, or maybe you wish you had. In any case, you should try and come visit the large number artists that will be displaying their work. I will be displaying in Studio 200, which is the studio of the Chattersons. If you aren't familiar with their work, please check out Carrie Chatterson's design work and Kris Chatterson's paintings, prints and more. Today I uploaded a video of the process I used to print the twenty five limited edition prints I'll be bringing with me. I'll have a variety of cards, prints, stickers, orginal art as well as some skateboard decks! Click here for: More info about Shady Lea Mill Open Studio |
