![]() As I was furiously working on my Movember campaign, drawing freelance for LEGO Club and doing a few commissions, I was hired to build a cigar box uke for friend and steampunk artist, Michael Salerno. It was a gift for his son and I'm told he loved it. In fact, I loved it and would like one of my own some day. But I don't have time to build for myself, so others must experience the joy of my art and instruments. Here's a slide show for everyone to check out.

Dan Stevens asked me to come down and take some photos and video of him playing at the Ridgefield Playhouse. He was opening up for Los Lonely Boys. Dan was kind enough to tell the audience how I helped him acquire his first cigar box guitar which led to him building his own, which he proudly played up on stage. Dan came down to my studio Wednesday to have the guitar electrified for the show. It turned out great and Dan rocked the socks off the audience. Here are a few pictures of Dan's performance.
Please drop by his website and visit one of his upcoming gigs. You won't be disappointed. Just got back from being on the radio. My buddy Rob Nelson recorded it for me and I quickly threw this video together for you folks! Enjoy! I'm putting the finish on the Licoln Bass Guitar I've been working on for quite some time. I'm hoping that this will be a piece that people can't stop talking about online and hopefully generates a significant amount of traffic as well as commissions. This is a really fun piece to work on. I have another commission I will be starting as soon as I am finished with the bass. Hopefully within the next week or so I will have pictures of the final instrument as well as some video on youtube. Here's a few more picts. Now go tell the world!
![]() Instruments built by Jason May. Addam's Family Gathering Last Sunday I took down the remaining guitars from the Addam's Family Gathering show in Middletown CT. If you weren't there, you missed a good show. You also missed your chance to get your hands on the Gomez build, which was purchased within the first 30min of the show. I do still have the Uncle Fester Diddley Bow, Pugsley Three String (my favorite to play) and Lurch's Ukulele. If you are intersested in purchasing any of these instruments, please contact me through the contact page. Thanks to everyone who came and I hope to see everyone else at the next show. |
